Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from East Africa to the Philippines and Kermadec Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found along the neritic zone, in reef areas (Ref. 97241) and intertidal rocky shores (Ref. 84890). An omnivore known to feed on algae, polychaetes, sponges, echinoderms, mollusks, crustaceans, organic detritus, and carrion (Ref. 97241).
