Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 1 - 223 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: USA, Panama, Costa Rica and Belize.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on seagrass Halimeda, and corals Porites, Madracis and Agaricia (Ref. 86568), particularly in intertidal areas (Ref. 83942). Also found on sandy bottoms with mud and organic matter, and under rocks. Strongly associated with algae and sponges (Ref. 111340).
