Family:  Olividae (olive shells)
Max. size:  5 cm ShH (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from East Africa, to eastern Polynesia; north to southern Japan and south to Queensland and New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Mainly collected for its shell (Ref. 349). It is found in littoral and shallow subtidal zone, commonly burrowing in sand flats (Ref. 128042).
