Max. size:  7.2 cm ML (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 5 - 200 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic and Caribbean Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Common mantle length ranges between 2 to 3 cm (Ref. 3722). Total length is 35 cm (Ref. 96968). Minimum depth from Ref. 83938. This is a subtidal species found in coral reefs, rubble and sandy bottoms (Ref. 83938). Associated with calcareous algae and shell rubble (Ref. 275).
