Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 40 - 340 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It has a maximum total body length of 24 cm, usually not more than 20 cm; and a carapace length of 6 to 9 cm (Ref. 4). Maximum depth from Ref. 99823. Prefers rocky substrates (Ref. 87).
