Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 6710 m
Distribution:  Arctic, Northwest Atlantic, Southern Pacific, Mediterranean and Antarctic Atlantic. Temperate to polar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Cosmopolitan cold-water species; from bathyal to abyssal depths (Ref. 776). It inhabits sand, silt, mud, and is found in foraminiferal tests, small polychaete tubes, and mollusc shells (Ref. 117895). Cosmopolitan cold-water species; from bathyal to abyssal depths down to 5300 m (Ref. 776).
