Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean. Temperate to subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Known from depths of <0.5 m (Ref. 85342). Known from brackish water; occasionally found in fresh water or in the open sea; also in hypersaline pools (Ref. 85342). Substrates include silty sands (Ref. 96329).
