Environment:  sessile; marine; depth range 4 - 274 m
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean, Northern Atlantic, Mediterranean and the Arctic. Subtropical to polar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits subtidal areas (Ref. 116516). Found on scallop shells (Ref. 865).
