Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 2 - 20 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Colonies: massive; or thick unifacial or bifacial plates; with irregularly shaped upgrowths near the center. Corallites: immersed. Coenosteum papillae: of mixed sizes or two distinct sizes, larger being the diameter of the corallites. Yellowish or brown (Ref. 846).
Biology:  Found on shallow reef environment (Ref. 846), especially in mid-reef slopes (Ref. 98471).
