Distribution:  Indo-Pacific and Atlantic Ocean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in intertidal sandstone and coral sand (Caribbean); upper to lower intertidal usually in coarse, mixed gravel-sand-silt or shell sediments, usually with algae or wood debris (British Columbia); 3-4 m depth, fine to medium shelly sand ( Hong Kong); intertidal and subtidal sands to 4 m depth (China); coarse sand and gravel among rocks (Albany) (Ref. 3477).
