Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 20 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Collected for food and for its shell (Ref. 349). Found in coral reef and rocky habitats, common in shallow water and tidal pools (Ref. 128042), under coral slabs and stones or half exposed in crevices. Often found in small groups (Ref. 349). Members of the family Cypraeidae are primarily carnivores (Ref. 67623).
