Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 24 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: North Carolina to Brazil, Bermuda.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 109264. This species is found in intertidal, subtidal, and offshore coral reefs and reef lagoons, particularly on algae, boulder, coral, rocky and sandy habitats (Ref. 83934).
