Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 40 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: East Africa including Red Sea to Melanesia, north to Japan and south to Australia.
Diagnosis:  Formation: flabello-meandroid at the margin, submeandroid at the center; shallow valleys with flat floor. Columellae: often in 2 rows except at valley ends, or evenly distributed on flat areas. Color: often brown or green, valley floors and walls in contrasting colors (Ref. 848).
Biology:  Occurs in upper reef slopes away from wave action (Ref. 848).
