Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 30 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Philippines to Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
Diagnosis:  Formation: flat to hemispherical, up to 2 m across. Corallites: monocentric, tusk-like, elongated, closely compacted; individual corallites unite only at the colony base. Primary septa: very exsert, spoke-like appearance in situ; with long teeth. Color: uniform gray (Ref. 848).
Biology:  Occurs in upper reef slopes and lagoons (Ref. 848).
