Environment:  pelagic; brackish; marine; depth range 5 - 500 m
Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea: France, Morocco and UK Scotland. Subtropical to temperate.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This species lives close to the bottom and shows a tendency to migrate away from the shore; also found in estuaries (Ref. 85342). Feeding based on genus data (Ref. 96422).
