Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific, Eastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea: from Hawaii to Norway, south to South Africa and east to Turkey. Polar to subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits the mid-intertidal to about 10 m depth (Ref. 866).
