Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 10 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific and Southeast Atlantic: Chile, Tristan da Cunha, and St. Helena.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It is found in intertidal and subtidal zones, mainly on turf algae, shell rubble, gravel, kelp holdfasts, and often at exposed rocky shores. The graze on living algae and also feed on detritus (Ref. 87801).
