Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 382 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Indian Ocean, Persian Gulf, India, Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Depth is based on occurrence in the Philippines (Ref. 107562); to be replaced with a better reference. Members of the subfamily Sepiolinae live in bottoms, wherein they typically bury in soft bottoms during the day, and emerges at night to forage (Ref. 98471).
