Max. size:  23 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 40 - 250 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Australia and Kermadec Island.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It has a maximum total length of 23 cm; and a carapace length of 2 and 8 cm (Ref. 4). Occurs on soft substrates of sand or sand and mud. The larvae of this species are obtained from the plankton (Ref. 4).
