Environment:  sessile; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Caribbean.
Diagnosis:  Thick encrusting with oscular chimneys, hollow fistules, digitate projections, and lobes: 1.5 cm high, 0.1 - 0.5 cm wide. Oscules: 0.1 - 0.2 cm wide at end of chimneys or spread on projection. Blue internally and externally (Ref. 415).
Biology:  Rare on mangroves roots (Ref. 415).
