Diagnosis: |
Thick crust with or without oscular mounds: 1 - 4 cm thick; 2 - 4 cm high. Gray to bluish-purple externally, lighter color internally. Oscula: 0.5 - 1 cm wide. Smooth, strongly punctuate surface, almost hispid looking. Soft, sticky to the touch (Ref. 415). May be encrusting or in clusters of tubes (Ref. 86785). |
