Max. size:  10 cm OT (male/unsexed)
Environment:  sessile; marine; depth range 5 - 1500 m
Distribution:  Arctic, Atlantic, Pacific and the Antarctic. Mostly polar, but also in subtropical and boreal.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Colonies may reach a size of 100 mm (Ref. 8774). It also occurs in depths of 10-1500 m (Ref. 64386). Found at depths of 5 to 1200 m (Ref. 120471).
