Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 20 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurring in sandy patches of reef flats, in sandy lagoons or in muddy-sand bottom. Shells of specimens living in deeper water tend to be smaller or more brightly colored (Ref. 349).
