Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean, Eastern Atlantic, Mediterranean and Black Sea and Antarctic Atlantic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Depth based on occurrence (Ref. 2851, p. 719); to be replaced with better reference. Inhabits Posidonia oceanica meadows, coarse sands and fine gravels (Ref. 2780). This species burrows in muddy or sandy bottoms close to shore (Ref. 85342).
