Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic: Europe.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits macroepiphytes (Ref. 104685). Deposit-feeder; trophic level 1.8 (Ref. 96418). Adults feed on the macroepiphytes Ceramium nodulosum and Pilayella littoralis from the host brown alga Ascophyllum nodosum; small individuals graze on A. nodosum but with preference for the macroepiphytes. Important prey for fish and other predators (Ref. 104685).
