Family:  Veneridae (venus clams)
Max. size:  4.8 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 30 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific and the Mediterranean Sea: from East and South Africa, to eastern Polynesia; north to Japan and south to Queensland and New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 75831. Intertidal, in coarse sand (Ref. 75831) to sublittoral areas (Ref. 345). Also found in mangroves (Ref. 75840).
