Distribution:  Circumtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Assumed maximum length from Ref. 822. Pelagic species, washed ashore during storms (Ref. 7727), often found on floating debris with the pelagic barnacle Lepas sp., surface dwelling jellyfish, and the by-the-wind-sail Velella sp. (Ref. 822). Feeds on blue bottle (Portuguese man-of-war), and goose-neck barnacles (Lepas sp.) (Ref. 866).
