Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 11 - 128 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Colombia, French Guiana and Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Offshore, on sand (Ref. 101466 ). Also found on continental shelf, muddy bottom (Ref. 101465). In general, suspension feeding bivalves mainly depend on phytoplankton and detritus material for nutrition (Ref. 107088).
