Max. size:  3 cm COLD (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 40 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Forms dome-shaped colonies usually less than 1 m in diameter with large phaceloid corallites less than 3 cm in diameter. When a live, the several centimeters long, unbranched, brown tentacles easily distinguishes this species (Ref. 269).
Biology:  May be common in protected lagoons and on reef slopes (Ref. 269). On fringing reef (Ref. 115195). Has high bleaching level in Palau (Ref. 66144).
