Far-spaced corallites resemble craters that are pock-marking the surface. Occur in different forms: large flat plates; having edges that curve upward to a cup; or as large mounds with pillars sticking up. Usually grey or purplish grey in color.| |
Found on sandy reef flats and deep sandy bases (Ref. 98471). Has locally high bleaching level and high estimated mortality in Palau (Ref. 66144). |
