Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 8 - 160 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific, Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean. Climate: Subtropical, Tropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in littoral zone, though it is more commonly inhabits sublittoral sediments even at great depths, especially in coarse sand mixed with shell fragments, and in biogenic sediments, or in Amphioxus sand (Ref. 2243).
