Environment:  reef-associated; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic and the Antarctic.
Diagnosis:  Flat cushions: 0.5 - 3 cm diameter; comprised of a tightly knit trelliswork of tubes about 0.1 cm wide. Bright, lemon-yellow to pale yellow. Compressible, fragile. The surface is smooth. Few ocules: 0.1 - 0.2 cm wide (Ref. 415).
Biology:  Common, on peat banks and occasionally grow on other sponges (Ref. 415).
