Max. size:  11.5 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 37 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: East Africa, Southeast and Northeast Asia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This common species is frequently collected by coastal people for food and shellcraft (Ref. 349). Common in various shallow water habitats. Found in boulder shores, in slightly more exposed areas (Ref. 125338), and those with rock coral reefs and sany substrates (Ref. 128042).
