Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific and the Mediterranean Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Usually in shallow waters, on soft and hard substrata (Ref. 107882), and subtidal in sand (Ref. 130068). Members of the family Cerithiidae are herbivore-deposit feeders (Ref. 1385).
