Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 91 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: North Carolina to Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This species is found in intertidal, subtidal, and offshore coral reefs, cienaga facies, and mangrove areas, particularly on coral, mud, rock, sand, and seagrass habitats (Ref. 83934).
