Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 3 - 20 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Australia and New Zealand.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Assumed maximum length from Ref. 844. Also found in deeper waters. Feeds on calcareous sponges (Ref. 844).
