Environment:  pelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 350 m
Distribution:  Northwest Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic Oceans. Mostly polar, but also in tropical and boreal.
Diagnosis:  Larger species with up to 320 tentacles.
Biology:  Meroplanktonic (Ref. 120471).
