Environment:  sessile; marine; depth range 5 - 18 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic.
Diagnosis:  Convoluted surface; vase morphology (Ref. 81728). Surface smooth in places, rarely entirely smooth. Compressible and elastic. Color: creamy orange (Ref. 81728), pink, lilac, pale blue; often with bluish-pink iridescence (Ref. 85482).
Biology:  Occurs chiefly on coral reefs starting at a depth of 18 m, often with bluish-pink iridescence (Ref. 85482).
