Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: USA, Mexico.
Diagnosis:  Girdle: Fine scaly. Lateral areas of the median valves: Two ribs appearing scalloped near the girdle. Head valve: 11 depressed ribs with the tail valve having 9 rounded ribs. Mucro: Median. Central areas: Have longitudinal ribs becoming obsolete near the dorsal ridge. Girdle: Cream with light brown bands and the valves are olive buff to dark green (Ref. 296).
