Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 77 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: From Cape San Lucas, Baja California and Sinaloa (Río Piaxtla), Mexico to mouth of river Tumbes, Peru and Juan Fernandez Island, Chile.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth range from Ref. 121685. Euryhaline species which can tolerate salinity range of 0-55% (Ref. 119328) and occurs in freshwater streams (Ref. 112850). Lives in coastal waters (Ref. 121685), in tidal lagoon in mangrove area (Ref. 102988). Frequently occurrs on or buried in mud or fine sand substrates (Ref. 112850). Mainly predators of sessile or slow moving benthic macroinvertebrates (Ref. 73111).
