Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Belize.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Produces a brominated diphenylmethane derivative which is antibacterial, ichthyocidal and deters feeding by a damsel fish (Ref. 86695). Occurs from low tide line to 30 m depth on reefs, on sandy plains and seagrass beds (Ref. 86695), pavement rock, coral rubble, and among corals and gorgonians (Ref. 87157).
