Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 40 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from Red Sea and eastern Africa, east to Solomon Islands, north to Japan, south to Australia.
Diagnosis:  Formation: phaceloid (predominant in high latitudes and very shallow water) or plocoid. Corallites: short, sturdy, 10 to 15 mm across, often with multiple mouths. Poorly developed costae. Color: dull cream, gray, and green (Ref. 848).
Biology:
