Environment:  sessile; marine; depth range 1 - 13 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific, Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea. Tropical and subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 114697. Found under stones and rubble near reef crest of coral reefs, on sandy bottoms with corals and shells (Ref. 1134). Filter-feeder (Ref. 68823).
