Distribution:  Pacific Ocean and Southwest Atlantic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This species is found on rocky and biogenic substrates like shells of gastropods and large decapod crabs from the intertidal to a depth of 327 m. It is commonly found in subtidal and exposed areas. It is regularly seen with Allopetrolisthes spinifrons clinging to column, and is observed to detach from substratum when attacked by Aeolidia papillosa serotina (Ref. 87801). Solitary (Ref. 2377).
