Ecology of Udonella caligorum

Main Ref. Williams, E.H. Jr. and L. Bunkley-Williams, 1996
Remarks Transfers from one copepod host to another when these crustacean parasites are mating (a sexual disease of copepods). May feed on parasitic copepods instead of fish host; covers these crustacean parasites with eggs that are probably detrimental. May harm other parasites and may actually benefit fish host (Ref. 359).
