Remarks In oyster beds near Fort Pierce it occurs in densities as great as 2100 square meter. This species is parthenogenic; its development includes a short-lived non-feeding pelagic larval stage (Ref. 776). Coral reef, rock reef, subtidal (Ref. 1456); Commonly lives in soft coral, old coral or mussel beds (Ref. 1840, p. 154).
