Remarks Inhabits shells of many gastropods on flats, rocky platforms, rubble and sand (Ref. 8423), coral reef, reef flat, sand and mud flat, sand mud bottoms of seagrass and mangrove areas (Ref. 81753). An omnivore; known to feed on algae, polychaetes, sponges, echinoderms, mollusks, crustaceans, organic detritus, and carrion (Ref. 97241). Carnivore (Ref. 108394).
