comments Known as one of the breeding grounds with over 300,000 nests per year at Madras and Orissa States, Gahimartha. Nesting season occurs from February to June. Mean number of eggs per clutch is 113 eggs for 9 nests. In Gahimartha, mean egg size for 90 eggs is 3.75 cm. Hatchling size and weight ranges from 3.47 to 4.29 cm with a mean of 3.94 cm; 12 to 19.5 g for 200 individuals.
