comments Known from Cedros Island, Baja California; Isla Mujeres; Yucatan are some of the known nesting grounds. Nesting season occurs from April to August with a peak in May to June; Eastern part occurs from May to October. Number of eggs per clutch varies from different localities: Isla Aguada, Campeche ranges from 71 to 202 eggs for 163 clutches with mean of 135 eggs; Rio Lagartos, Yucatan ranges from 93 to 223 eggs with a mean of 150 eggs for 114 clutches. Egg size ranges from 3.4 to 4.2 cm with a mean of 36.2 for 3 clutches, 216 eggs; egg mass from 28.6 to 32.5 g with a mean of 30.8 g for 122 eggs based on the eggs size and mass/weight record. Duration of incubation in days: 44 to 54 days with a mean of 49 days (n=15) for undisturbed nests; 49 to 65 days with a mean of 56.7 days (n=145) for box-hatching in Campeche. Carapace length and body mass record of hatchlings in Yucatan: 3.81 to 4.3 cm with a mean of 41.1 (n= 36); 12.1 to 17.9 g with a mean of 12.6 (n= 23), respectively.
