comments	Previous occurrence in map (Ref. 1394, p. 193) is confirmed by Ref. 1522. Sighted in Malampaya Sound in Northern Palawan (Ref. 1394); Reported as Neophocaena phocaenoides phocaenoides in Palawan, Turtle Islands, Visayan Islands and Mindanao (Ref. 1522). Occurrence in Palawan is just suggested. Sighting in other areas still needs further verification but for now it can be considered as locally extirpated in the Philippines (Ref. 91365).
